“New Years Eve”

My wife and I fully enjoyed the Filet Mignon Dinner at the Golden Lion on New Years Eve. It is a great place to enjoy the food, the ocean, the music and a wonderful staff of servers and management.

“Great food on the beach”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 7, 2014

Second time we've eaten here on a trip north. Love their food. Excellent fish tacos, clams, oysters and a surprising excellent BLT. The big fish sandwich is enough for two. Restaurant is right across the street from the beach. Very few buildings are on the beach in Flagler Beach so this is as close as you can get. Huge patio with sand and heaters in case it's cold. Stage for music which they have one weekends. We would recommend a trip to Flagler just to stop here.

“Nice Stop!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 2, 2014

We were looking for a seafood place to stop and eat at on our drive home. Found this cool little spot. Service was great! Food was pretty good. Thought there would be a larger selection of seafood. We had oysters, mussels, cod and tacos. Prices was reasonable and if the weather would have been nicer, we would have sat outside. They definitely have a nice outside area for viewing the ocean.

“Great view & reasonable prices”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 19, 2013

Had lunch w wife.
I had Grouper(fish) tacos-good portion of very fresh grouper w chips & salsa(out of a bottle)
Wife had avocado & shrimp salad-6 or so very fresh medium shrimp over nice green iceberg lettuce with maybe half of a Haas avocado.
The reason to come is to sit on the upstairs deck & gaze out at the beautiful Atlantic ocean-across the street with no obstructions.
Service good, prices fair for what you get.
The guy at the raw bar told us where to buy some fresh fish at the back of a restaurant on A1A-better quality fish & shrimp than the Flagler Fish Co in town. The raw bar has specials after 3pm-we were there at 1pm.
We give it a 6.5 on the 1-10 scale
