“Gem in Flagler”

Tiny place with seating in and outside. A glass case holds all of the days catch. Large menu plus daily specials. I had Chilean sea bass. You have a choice of sauces and way it is cooked. I had the fish blackened with lemon butter caper sauce. Thick moist piece of fish. Melted in my mouth!! They have unusual sides. I had a cold salad of portobello, tomotaoe, and asparagus. Yummy! My husband had the fried oyster po boy. He said the oysters had a clean fresh taste. Large sandwich. He loved it. His side was portobello and onions warmed with blue cheese. Fabulous! They offer beer and wine. Moderate price. Give it a try! Fresh seafood, friendly service. The shrimp and grits are great also!!

“Amazing! Everything was amazing!”

Incredible fresh fish selection. Pick it from the case & let them how you like it. Unique & wonderful sides. Beer & wine only. Decent beer selection. Here is what I had & highly recommend it all.

Red snapper blackened, steamed mussels, fried calamari, fried shrimp, asiago potatoes, sautéed mushrooms & onions, pan fried bow tie pasta. Desserts looked excellent. Too stuffed, so we took them to go. I'll keep you posted on the rum cake & key lime pie!

Make this stop when in the area!

“Best Fish in Flagler”
Reviewed December 14, 2013

My friend and I have been here twice and even brought another friend along. The first time we both ordered the Monday Special Fish & Chips choosing grouper for the fish. There is a bit of a premium for grouper but well worth it. The chips were crisp and the cole slaw was fresh and tasty.
The second time also fell on a Monday and I ate, once again the Fish & Chips but using cod this time and it was delicious! I also ordered a side of their seaweed salad as I had never had this. It was interesting! Crunchy, slightly sweet, with a sesame dressing. Not bad!
My friend ordered the other Monday special of Shrimp and Grits. He was NOT pleased. The shrimp portion was tiny and bland and the grits were... let's say non-traditional with some roasted vegetables mixed in and again, rather blah.
Overall this place is great and their fish market counter is unbelievable! Everything from oysters and soft-shell crab to red snapper, grouper and some unusual local catches.
I highly recommend this place!

“Our favorite Flagler Beach restaurant”
Reviewed November 26, 2013

Considering it has no view, that says a lot. The staff are pleasant and the food good. I recommend the sides and sticking to the simpler dishes - sandwiches, wraps etc. There is a good variety of seafood and you can pick what piece you want. Decent wines, attractive spot.
