We went to another very popular sushi restaurant and learned that there was a 45 minute to an hour wait, so we left. On the way back out of the restaurant, we saw friends who had just dined there. They said they heard that restaurant was very popular with the locals, but HANA Sushi restaurant was recommended by the Ritz Carlton. HANA is just a mike down the road, so we opted to try it. We're we ever pleased!
The restaurant is centrally located at the end of the Publix strip mall. It was small, not crowded, clean, and tastefully decorated. We sat at the window end of the sushi bar and ordered the Party Tray for 2, which is listed at the bottom left of their paper menu. WOW! It was attractively plated with good portions of fresh tuna and salmon and white fish plus 2 rolls of Dragon Roll, which was wrapped in avocado, 8 pieces of sushi and sashimi. Total pieces - 30 for $35.95. It was just enough for both of us. With 2 drinks, our check was under $50 including the tip.
The service was very good as well. We were annoyed by servers refilling or checking on us every 5 minutes. We were warmly welcomed and treated like special guests along with the others who were seated.
We will definitely return to HANA and bring others with us. Thanks HANA for a special night out with you! Thanks friends for the recommendation, too!
