There were six of us the other morning, all visitors to Fernandina Beach. This place looked so inviting and so "real." We ate outside, but peeked inside to see the beautifully stenciled walls. We were on our way to the airport, which always adds some urgency, but our server (probably the owner) moved right along to help us. Each plate was beautifully composed. The smoked salmon had enough for two. My biscuit was flaky and buttery. The grits were as good as I make them. The coffee was rich and our cups were always full. Fernandina is one of my favorite places in Florida and this place has a wonderful "old Florida" feel with fresh food.
