Our first experience was great. The service was pretty good. Has a lovely courtyard to eat in, making it a true Amelia experience. Plan at least two hours though, no one is in a hurry here. It is just laid back island time. The muffins come out sliced with jelly to start off with( for free) the kids just loved this. The fruit cup was very fresh, and French toast was big and yummy. We liked it so much we tried to return on our last day in Amelia at the same time as the first. Half the tables were dirty and the staff just ignored us. We sat down after ten minutes at a dirty table. We told them this was dirty and needed to be cleaned. After ten minutes sitting there a server came up and tried to fill the dirty coffee cup on our table from the people before. We told them again that we were new customers and were waiting to have the table cleaned and to order. After sitting there for twenty minutes with the servers walking by us and never cleaning the table or taking our order we left. The kids were so upset, they said they will never come back. My one daughter started to tear up and said they did not like us and that is why they did not wait on us. I assured her that was not it, but i am not real sure what happened. Was great the first day but second day fell more then flat. We will not be back ever. What a shame! In the end I cannot recommend to anyone looking for the true Amelia experience!
