Whenever we have visitors to our home in Amelia IIland, my husband and I always take them to 29 South. It is always good but last Saturday was wonderful. Kiki ou wiatress recognized us and greeted us warmly. We split the excellent fried green tomatoes and mussels with fresh smoked tomatoes. Our company loved the sweet tea brined pork chop with mac/cheese and blackberry ginger preserves. Shrimp and grits is another signature dish. Smoked duck salad and the fish tacos are excellent lighter entrees. Sunday brunch is also great.

Tried this place as a nice contrast of four nights of fine dining in Charleston.

It was great to get some well prepared and well cooked simple dishes - beautifully presented. Its a very casual atmosphere - and the food is casual also.

We loved the Pork Belly and Grilled Honey Peach - fantastic. The Short rib of Beef was very tasty also - so some great dishes to try out.......the "Coffee and Doughnut" dessert went down very well also.

An interesting an unconventional wine list - and friendly efficient service tops it off. Recommended.

we had the hamberger and chicken sandwich. Chicken was hand battered fresh and huge portion on a fresh made kaiser roll so good, Hamberger was also thick and juicey toppings were wonderful and different from you norm. Homemade fries my husband ate his and stole some of mine. We want to return and try the pulled pork sandwich and one of their salads. Recomend you give this place a try.

Wow, it's so fresh, we watched the chef walk through the back yard to pick items from the garden! Had THE most amazing fish tacos here! Our waiter was attentive, yet not hovering. Casual atmosphere, serious attention to food though!
