l ast night was a horrible stormy, windy and rainy evening. Fernandina Beach had no electricity and dinner became a real dilema for me and my family. Most places could not serve due to the electric shortage. Our concierge at the hotel suggested we should try a nice small restaurant called ARTE PIZZA which happened to have electricity and was serving. So we decided to try it as we had very little choice. It was 8:00 pm when we arrived. It was pooring and windy. People were waiting on line to get in. Lucky enough 10 minutes later we were able to get a table for 6.
The place is not fancy, mostly a cosy family restaurant. The waiters were most friendly and pleasant. Because it was the first time we were having dinner there, they suggested to try a variety of dishes such as the Mac & Cheese with Shrimp an Jalapenos, Some Gniocchi , the house salad and 3 different pizzas. This dinner was incredible and a most wonderful surprise.
The cost of the dinner was also incredible. we will certainly be back.
