“Perfect Dining Experience!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 1, 2014 via mobile

My husband and I had the most perfect anniversary meal at Le Clos! Every item was absolutely delicious and the service was wonderful. Julie was so very nice, friendly and attentive. Everything about the experience was amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.

“Loved this place”

Great food, tiny restaurant, but one of the best French meals ever. The bread was fantastic. The Caesar salad was so good my husband actually enjoyed it!

“Fabulous Find”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 26, 2014

Right across the road from our hotel (Hampton Inn) sat this tiny little restaurant. The interior was decked out in white tablecloths and candles for a cozy atmosphere. I checked out the menu online and found out the chef/owner Katherine Ewing received full degrees in both cuisine and pastry from Le Cordon Bleu and L'Ecole de Gastronomie Francaise Ritz-Escoffier, Paris, and trained at the Ritz Hotel, Paris, France.
The meal did not disappoint nor the personal warm attention from the staff. The entrees are artfully plated in European style- not huge quantities (allows one to enjoy a few of the outstanding dessert options). Fine selection of wines available to accompany your entrée choices.
If you enjoy true culinary talent, this place is for you.

“Fabulous Fishcake! Even Better Service!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 25, 2014

This was a bit of a splurge for us, but it was Restaurant Week in Fernandina Beach so we were excited to get to try their fixed price 3 course menu. We were a party of 10 so each of the featured entrees were represented at our table. One of our group went off of the special menu and ordered the chicken. Everyone was pleased with their selection. The Caesar salad was delicious as was the house garden salad. The fishcake was really good, served over creamy mashed potatoes. The pork was a HUGE portion, as was the beef. Dessert portions were generous to say the least. The apple dessert was good, but the apple to ice cream ratio was a little off and the apple was difficult to eat without a knife. The service was spectacular. We brought our own wine and paid the $20 corkage fee. The wine list was a bit pricey. There was one red for $33 but the rest were $39 and up. All-in-all, it was a great evening and we will be back for the next special evening!
