“Great Mom & Pop Locally Owned Restaurant!”
Reviewed July 14, 2014

Very good food and super service! We had the seafood platter for two and our daughter had the kids grilled fish. All of us loved the food. I was a little worried if we had made the right choice because it was not one the the posh trendy cafés but I was so wrong! It was southern style fried seafood but it was very good and not at all greasy! Even the grilled fish my daughter had was good. We had plenty of food and took left overs back to the condo. We met the owner who was on site and very kind. My daughter even got to get a toy from the treasure chest for eating her meal! It's wasn't a little toy either, there were barbies and lighted wands and tons of other goodies in there....all for free since she ate well! Great place for what matters.....good food and service!!

“Oldest continuing seafood restaurant on the island.”
Reviewed July 11, 2014 via mobile

Its ambiance is turn of the century because that's what people want and expect and historical town! The food is always good and the locals eat there along with the police and firemen so that in itself should tell you something! Me being a career paid firefighter I always look for fire trucks and police cars at restaurants when traveling, trust me they know where the good foods at!

“Average at best”
Reviewed July 5, 2014

Wait time was only 30 minutes. Wait staff was indifferent. Sangria was like sweet koolaid with merishino cherries thrown in by the handful, tea very sweet, and seafood platter pretty good for a Captain D's or similar fastfood restaurants. The crab cake was made with imitation crab, the clams were fried way to hard and were cold, the fish was soft and mushy (tasteless), the oysters were fried okay and shrimp were good. The ambiance was turn of the century crowded. Not a place I wish to revisit. Typical over-priced touristy restaurant in an over-busy tourist town.

“best fish sandwich”
Reviewed June 28, 2014

We eat here each time we visit Fernandina Beach. The service is great, the atmosphere is cozy and the fish sandwich is all I ever order and it was the first time I enjoyed a fried fish sandwich so much!
