As our favorite restaurant - Le Clos - in Fernandina was not open on our anniversary, we decided to try Joe's. Good choice!! Warm welcome! We had mentioned "anniversary" when making reservations and they remembered!!! Perfect sitting near the fire place. Excellent food timely served without rushing us. Creme brulee to die for, compliment of the house for our anniversary. Pricing was reasonable.
Thank you for being part of our anniversary! We will be back!

Thank you for giving us a try for such an important occasion as your Anniversary. The Creme Brulee is pretty tasty isn't it? We are glad you had a good time with us and will look forward in seeing you next time you are on the Island. Thank you for taking the time to review us.

This place artfully mixes the best of the past (their historic home location downtown) and fresh, farm to table cuisine that's well-priced and well-served. On this visit, we chose to sit out on the back patio because we had two families. If we were on a date, I'd probably choose to sit inside.

New chef/owner Chef Ricky Pigg worked with me so I could have a dream rehearsal dinner for my son, his future bride, and the wedding party. He worked with my budget and prepared an out of this world meal that was enjoyed by all. The dinner, held November 12, 2012, was served on the patio with picture perfect cool weather and no bugs! The service was outstanding and the wait staff was prompt with drinks and our meal. The meal and dessert were heavenly. Chef Pigg prepared out of this world trio of local fried shrimp, BBQ baked 1/2 chicken, smoked pork loin, Charleston Hoppin John, seasoned haricot verts sauteed in garlic butter, mashed potatoes, wonderful salads with killer dressing, and capped it off with chocolate terrine. The chocolate terrine is a must-have if you visit the restaurant. Chef Ricky really delivered as he promised. I will definitely return to Joe's 2nd Street Bistro when I visit Fernandina Beach in the future!

It was a honor to be able to host your rehearsal dinner. I am glad that we had such great weather for the weekend. It was a pleasure to work with your whole family. Thank you for the kind words and our staff is happy they could play a small your in the future of your family. We look forward to seeing everyone for the first anniversary dinner.

We visited Joe's to celebrate our Anniversary and were treated with warmth and care. The gumbo starter was flavorful and plenty to share. The bread was decadent. Chicken Cordon Bleu and Prime Rib were our entrees that we both thoroughly enjoyed. We were treated to a piece of Italian Cream cake..yum! Trish our waitress was attentive and pleasant. The nicest touch was being able to talk to the head chef/owner. Very down to earth, and cares about his customers.

Food was really quite good and they were flexible with preferences and druthers. Waiter made thoughtful suggestions as we discussed the menu choices. It was a relaxing and nice experience. Desserts a little small but creative. Wine list also on the small side but well thought out with range of variety and prices. As an aside has anyone else noticed that Fernandina seems to have a seemingly high number of restaurants with Bistro in their name? Owner shared they were planning on adding lunch soon..
