Food was good but if they want to advertise as upscale dining they need some updating. When you walk in the restaurant you immediately smell a musty aroma. I had the scallops and they were well prepared but 3 scallops for something like $28.00, not a great value. My friend had the chicken picatta and her piece of chicken was tiny and even the pasta was smaller than a children's portion.

My wife and I had dinner at this cozy restaurant last night. We were looking for something that offered local, fresh, seafood and was more intimate than your typical tourist spot, and we were not disappointed. We were warmly greeted by upon arrival and seated. The grouper encrusted in potato was fantastic and would highly recommend. The catfish was a bit mushy and a small filet with a great sauce and taste that helped make up for the lack of firmness. Service was fantastic. Overall would recommend for anyone looking for an intimate, personal dining experience while in Amelia.

Just had another wonderful experience at this great restaurant. We had a superb service and dinner - we often are looking forward to hear their specials and that's what we ordered. Again - we cleaned the plates! Hostess is very personable and accomodating. A great place to have a great meal!

My husband and I are lucky enough to live on Amelia Island, and we eat out a LOT. Horizons is one of our regular spots, and is never a disappointment for either lunch or dinner. On pretty days, we particularly like eating outdoors on the front porch. All of the food is dependably good, but i particularly recommend the lamb, which is just terrific. If you want a quiet spot that has great service and terrific food, check this one out.

This is wonderful destination for a quiet, intimate dinner with friends. We arrived early on a Wed. night an hour ahead of our reservation, but found we didn't need one. We ordered our wine, but had to wait awhile until another server came to tell us they no longer had it in stock. The wine she suggested was comparably priced and a good replacement for our favorite Steele. We began our meal with the homemade bread (delicious with the whipped herb butter) and Caesar salad, which was generous in size but tasted light because it wasn't drowning in dressing. My husband ordered the duck special and I had the flounder stuffed with crayfish. Both meals' presentation and taste were exceptional! We shared the tri-berry tart with vanilla bean ice cream for dessert and practically licked the plate. My only complaint: the downstairs dining area was cramped and didn't offer much ambiance. I understood the upstairs was being set up for a party the next day and wasn't available for seating. Our waitress did offer to seat us outside on the porch, but it was too warm to enjoy a meal outdoors. We did finish our wine there, overlooking huge live oak trees and listening to the birds, which made up for the disappointing table near the bar. We will return, but will ask next time to sit upstairs.
