We stayed here for two nights over the first weekend in August. The location is nice - right across from a city park beach access. I felt like the hotel web site was a little misleading about the amenities. It seemed to imply that there would be beach chairs and when I called the front desk, they referred me to the surf shop across the street for rentals. The pool was also a MAJOR disappointment. It was very small and basically in the parking lot. There were chairs, but no umbrellas and it was pretty hot in August to sit outside with no shade! The pool was so small that the water was cloudy and thick by the afternoon - sort of gross. The rooms were clean and nice. Nothing special though. Only the most expensive rooms have balconies, which is a bummer. The breakfast was sub-par. We ate there the first morning but not the second. Overall, this place was just ok. I think there were nicer places for not that much more money so not sure I would stay here again but it certainly wasn't horrible.

On the outside, this hotel is conveniently located on Amelia Island, FL. It is situated just across the street from the beach at a main beach access point. There are several restaurants within walking distance. There is a small pool at the rear of the hotel, but with beach access, it wasn't used by many. The exterior of the hotel was well maintained and looked exactly like the pictures on the website.
Inside the hotel, you will find a friendly staff and clean, well maintained rooms. The balconies are somewhat cramped, but the view made up for that. A flat screen TV and free WiFi were nice additions as well. A free breakfast buffet is available to all hotel guests every morning, which consisted of several types of cereal, biscuits, sausage, eggs, waffles, french toast, muffins, bagels, yogurt and fruit.
Overall, this hotel was a very positive experience and I would be happy to stay here again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! Also, if you are staying here, check out their discounted rates available for government employees! I sure did!

This hotel is tops in our book. This is one of the best hotels we have stayed in on vacations. We will definitely return and share the experience with our friends.

We really had a hard time choosing which place to stay. We chose the Hampton Inn first and they were sold out. This was our second choice but were we glad the first choice was sold out. Luxery beds to sleep inn. The flat screen tvs were fantastic. There was nothing left to be desired on the free breakfast here. All the staff treated you like Kings and queens. We got the very last room the night we stayed there and were we ever happy we did. Right across the street from the beach we had a slight beach view from the first floor but we were told this prior to booking the room. Verrry clean. Everything has been updated and is just waiting for you to go there. Lots of restaurants around within walking distance. only 4 dollars to downtown amelia beach by cab if that is where you want to be. We would stay here again. If you go to Amelia, put this the first on your list for a great place to stay.

We did'nt really know what to expect since this is not a chain hotel and were pleasantly surprised to find a well kept hotel. Any hotel must be hard to keep clean, the staff does a wonderful job at this, I think that they have a full time position just to vacuum the sand out of the carpet. Helpful and friendly, describe this hotel and for a hotel, pretty much on the beach, not expensive at all. The breakfast they offer is good, just get there early. If you are looking for perfect, this is not the place, but then I don't believe that perfect exists. I've stayed in alot of chain hotels and this one is better than most. Thanks Amelia, we had a great time and will more than likely return.
