“Absolutely Yummy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 28, 2014

The food was resonably priced and delish...Our server was prompt, but it wasn't a very busy time so we didn't have any trouble being waited on. The restaurant was clean even the outdoor area. I was well pleased.

“Good food and atmosphere, terrible service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 25, 2014 via mobile

Beginning with a hostess that wouldn't talk or smile our experience was off to a poor start. We waited an eternity for the waiter. When he finally came, he spilled drinks as he sat them down. He never did bring water and then spilled salsa all over the table. We has to ask for more chips and salsa. The food was pleasantly delicious and plentiful. The table on the patio made dining enjoyable. The waiter continued to be inattentive and we had a long wait for the bill. Thankfully, the food was good. Otherwise we would still be there waiting for it to be fixed.

“Great food but poor service”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 24, 2014 via mobile

Started off with a very grumpy hostess. Next very slow waiter. We sat and sat and then sat some more before having our drink order taken. Long story short - the service was bad but the food was REALLY good. If poor service does not drive you nuts, it is worth the wait.

“Wonderful service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 19, 2014 via mobile

We just spent spring break down in Fernandina and were happy to return to this restaurant for the third year in a row. We celebrated my daughters 17th birthday there on our last night and the waiter was fantastic. Our order apparently was slow so he kept bringing free items....guacamole, cheese dip, and a free dessert all to apologize. We didn't notice slow service, we sat outside and enjoyed ourselves but he was wonderful. When I thanked him and told him it was my daughters birthday he quickly grabbed the crew to sing to her. Always a fun time and great service. Thanks!

“Welcome respit and good lunch”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 18, 2014

On a rainy day on Amelia Island we shopped the tourist shops and ate at one of the lovely restaurants - Pepper's was nice - not too loud, not too rushed... not too touristy. The server was great and we tipped him very well - especially since he was young and so polite.

The food was good - fresh and the salsa was very good. The food came fast (but not too fast) and the chips were the good thicker ones - not too paper thin - and they were served warm. The queso was good- and there were no complaints.

I would go back and I would go back with friends. Friendly, clean and good!

I hope this has helped - there was not a lot to say really - but it was typical of a good Mexican restaurant.

Enjoy!
