What can I even begin to say to capture the beauty, charm, and hospitality we enjoyed at the Hoyt House?
The Inn is beautiful... historic, lovely, and a short walk from the best of Historic Downtown Fernandina. Tracy and Ricky are delightful, quintessential hosts who will make you feel right at home.
We came in for a long Memorial Day weekend. The breakfasts... Tracy is a phenomenal cook. The daily pastries, the Everything but the Kitchen Sink Fritatta, the homemade cinnamon rolls, the daily griddle cake special. The other guests were friendly and we enjoyed the morning conversations around the table. I cannot begin to explain how delicious all of Tracy’s dishes were. Ricky served us every morning, and during cocktail hour in the on site pub.
For the nightly cocktail hour, they serve both red and white wine and are serve yourself on the table in the foyer. There are beers in the pub and a small menu sitting on the high top tables.
We walked downtown every evening for dinner. During the day, we used the bikes onsite to ride to Fernandina Beach or to Fort Clinch.
We can’t wait to return for another trip soon and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else on Amelia. It made for a perfect, romantic getaway in the best part of the island.
