We eat here several times a yearand the meals are always top drawer. A little different in a brutally competitive market and always well executed. No bar and limited but adequate wine choices

The personal touch of the chef / owner Adam Sears enhanced what was already a fantastic culinary experience. From the appetizers to main dishes to desserts everything was excellent. The chef's conscientiousness was demonstrated by his efforts to ensure that each dish was prepared precisely to our liking. The service was outstanding! Good, fresh food. Warm ambience. Great music.

The movers had loaded the trucks and it was our last night on the island. So if we had to leave, what better way to go than with a taste of Merge! Gray was our server and took excellent care of us. We had the Lump Crab Potato Chips as a starter, and he was right - it was "very different and decadently delicious". We had the Grilled Grouper with a saffron sauce, and Flounder with artichokes and mushrooms. Both were good portions of fish, cooked perfectly, and the sauces were savory complements. Gray's wine suggestion was the perfect match for both dishes. Desserts were a creamy Mango Cheesecake and a Brown Butter Pound Cake with a velvety sauce, a sweet ending to a great meal. Merge was our favorite restaurant on the island and Adam's creativity, hospitality, and personal touch always made for a delightful dining experience!

We decided to take advantage of the day take our wife out for a nice dinner. We considered many of the wonderful restaurants on the island. Merge has consistently been one of our favorites. We were not disappointed. Entrees, main course and dessert were all very good. Definitely a hit with our guests from Holland MI. Thanks for a wonderful evening.

We split the famed onion soup as a starter - which is definitely not your traditional onion soup but rather a thick porridge with caramelized onions on top. Also had the calamari - fried in a lovely tempura batter. I had the duck breast on risotto. The duck was perfectly cooked just as I ordered it - medium rare. The risotto was thick & creamy & very rich. My partner had the scallops & clam fritters on a small bed of heavily creamed mashed potatoes - also very rich. Is there a recurring theme here?!
