“The food is the draw”
Reviewed November 8, 2012

The restaurant is a little away from the main tourist area and simple in appearance but well worth the 1/2 mile drive. The menu and specials made good use of seasonal items. The grouper special was fantastic and the flavor blending was masterful. They did not have mixed drinks but the wine selection looked extensive. The desserts were superb - it was obvious that the vanilla ice cream on mine was homemade. This is not a cheap place to eat but it was worth every penny. We will be back on our next visit to the island.

“Happy Birthday, little sister”
Reviewed November 2, 2012

Came to town to meet little sister here for conference on her birthday. Found Merge on Trip Advisor and it sounded like a find. Menu sounded wonderful for me and my husband. However, Sis has food allergies and is vegetarian. Adam came out from the kitchen to find out in person what would work for the birthday girl. He talked to her, went back to the kitchen to think about what might work with food on hand, and came back with proposals. They discussed and agreed. We have been out together many times and no one has ever been so sensitive and attentive. The result was a wonderful vegetarian risotto she loved. My scallops were wonderful as was my husband's pork fried rice (nothing like your Chinese takeout). The space is intimate and well done...nice for romantic dinner or special occasions. If we lived closer it would become a regular favorite (a little too far from Marietta for a weekly date night, though). We did talk about going out of our way in the drive to Orlando in the future.
This place is a real find. Adam is so enthusiastic and eager to please. His time at the Ritz Carlton has paid off...for his new customers...and hopefully for him for years to come!

“Our new favorite”
Reviewed October 27, 2012

We knew we had stumbled onto something good 30 seconds into looking at the menu. The ingredients that chef/owner Adam uses, and the way he uses them, are imaginative, fresh, and irresistible. Our server Tia couldn't have been more charming. She recommended a bottle of Bourgogne which complemented our choices perfectly. Don't miss the escargot in puff pastry appetizer. We'll be back!

“Good Food”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Ate here with about 40 others. Food was delicious, and very good considering the crowd (we had the restaurant to ourselves). I had pasta and a salad, others had steak and salad, and still others had fish or a fourth entree. All were out of the ordinary. Dessert was good but not outstanding. Decor was funky island, it gave no indication of the quality of food served here. Portions were the right size.
