My husband and I planned a weekend getaway to Amelia Island over our anniversary weekend and chose the Fairbanks House. It was a lovely, relaxing stay - the room was immaculate and spacious (we had the Country French Room), bed and bedding so comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. The highlight of our stay was definitely the company - the Inn owners are just fabulous. Theresa has such a fun, outgoing and quirky personality and her husband Bill was very informative and helpful about anything we might need at the Inn or for making suggestions for the area. The hosted happy hour every day at 5pm was also so nice - chatting with other guests and snacking on goodies. We don't stay at B&Bs very often but when we do, we find these touches to be among the most enjoyable parts of our stay.

A few more reasons why you should stay - the Fairbanks House is the perfect location to walk to all of the eateries in the area...many great restaurants to choose from and a short walk to town rather than looking for parking.

Depending on the level of privacy you seek, there are rooms at the inn or cottages that are separate and adjacent to the pool / courtyard for those that want more space.

The house has everything you need on-site - they are happy to loan guests beach chairs, towels, umbrellas, even a cooler for the beach (just a few minutes away).

For the environmentally friendly folks with electric cars- there are regular EV and Tesla chargers on site!

My husband and I just returned after spending four FABULOUS days at the Fairbanks House where we exchanged vows in the most beautiful setting we could only have dreamed of. The home and grounds are breathtakingly beautiful and our cottage was simply exquisite with so many personal touches that made our stay that much more special. There is no doubt that Theresa and Bill are the real gems as you are made to feel like family the minute you walk through the door. Theresa, thank you, thank you, thank you for EVERYTHING - you seamlessly created a beautiful memory for us as we start our life as husband and wife. For any couple looking for an intimate and romantic elopement - look no further as every detail you could ever think of is taken care of to perfection. We will be back - oh, indeed we will.

My new husband and I eloped at the Fairbanks House this past weekend. It was everything we could have dreamed of and more. Rain put a damper on our plans, however, Theresa and Bill went out of their way to make sure our weekend went off without any stress or worry. They really go above and beyond to take great and personable care of their guests. You will leave the Fairbanks feeling like a member of the family. You cannot go wrong staying here. The home and grounds are spectacular and will transport you back in time. The breakfasts are lovely and and social hour was one of my favorite parts of the weekend. We will definitely be returning for more than just anniversaries!

My wife and I just spent 4 days at this beautiful, historic B&B. Our room was very nice, the home is beautifully decorated, the hot breakfasts are scrumptious and the hospitality and friendliness of the owners, Bill and Theresa, is the best we have ever experienced in over 15 years of staying at B&B's. They allow you a 1-1/2 hour window each morning to sit for breakfast, instead of one fixed time. Bill and Theresa go out of their way to offer suggestions on things to do, advise places to eat and share some of the Island's history. As if that weren't enough, there is a social hour every evening from 5-6pm where the owners provide wine, beer and light snacks for any guests wishing to have a get-together. Bill and Theresa go out of their way to make everyone feel at home and at ease !!

Room Tip: check out the suites. Very spacious

We truly found a hidden gem of a place ! 4 night stay and what a pleasant Bed and Breakfast for just the occasion . Theresa and Bill were great hostess and gave great recommendations for our individual tastes for activities and food . Loved the evening social hour, meeting other guest and sharing our daily adventures with one another . The morning breakfast were outstanding , the house was warm and inviting and service was beyond our expectations ! Certainly a place I would visit again!
