The bed was oh sooo comfy and luxurious; room was tastefully decorated and immaculate! Bob made reservations for our dinners and carriage ride (picked up at B&B). Breakfast was scrumptious. The whole experience was a "10"! Highly recommend this place for a relaxing, fun experience.

My husband and I celebrated our 15 year anniversary with a long weekend stay at The Addison on Amelia Island. It is a georgous historical bed and breakfast with very personable innkeeper/owners, Bob and Shannon, as well as warm and friendly staff. The rooms were spotless with every little detail covered. The inn and grounds were beautifully maintained. The breakfast every morning was phenomenal - a real treat!

We took a carriage ride through the historic district and we were very interested in learning the history behind the homes throughout several blocks. Our tour ended at a local restaurant called 29 South where we enjoyed a fabulous dinner. Everything is located within walking distance, so after our dinner, we took a nice stroll back to the inn.

On Saturday morning there is a small farmer's market a block or so away with fresh fruits and veggies, as well as other items. The downdown area has a good variety of shops and restaurants. There were many hiking trails nearby also, along with beautiful beaches.

We are looking forward to going back when the weather is warmer so we can take advantage of the boat tour, horseback riding on the beach and Segway tour. My advice, book ahead if you can. We really wanted to try the Segway tour, but there was no availability. If you enjoy the outdoors, there is plenty to do here.

The Addison on Amelia Island was a wonderful experience in every way, and I would not hesitate to recommend this bed and breakfast!

Valentine's Day Weekend at the Addison on Amelia Island was a true lover's delight. The service and amenities were the absolute best. Innkeepers Bob and Shannon were perfect hosts. Shannon is a terrific cook and Bob is the ultimate host. Accommodations were roomy, clean and comfortable. We will be staying at the Addison again. We highly recommend it.

Excellent B & B with top of the line bed linens and mattresses. You will wake up refreshed and enjoy a delicious breakfast on the porch looking at a beautiful court yard. The inn keepers are delightful and tell you all about Amelia during their evening complimentary wine and snacks before you dine at one of the many wonderful restaurants. Walk to all the shops and restaurants in this beautiful town with beautiful beaches. We can't wait to return, don't miss this gem !!!

Stayed three nights and enjoyed every minute. From the moment you arrive until the moment you leave you feel welcomed and pampered. The rooms were very nice, roomy and comfortable. The bed and bed linens were unbelievable comfy! Very luxurious. Breakfast each morning was wonderful and the fresh baked cookies during the day were unresistable. Bob and Shannon really make the experience - you can tell they love what they do. Thanks for a great three days.

The Inn was beautiful. The service was top notch. They provided great suggestions of things to do. The food was outstanding...including a happy hour in the evening and home baked cookies at night. And, they had everything you could need for the surrounding area, beach cruisers, chairs, etc. Ps. the sheets feel like clouds.

The Addison was a very special place for us to spend a wedding anniversary and birthday. The inn is easy walking to downtown Fernandina and more restaurants than you can sample.

The rooms are spaced in a few separate but almost connecting buildings surrounding a courtyard so you have all the privacy you may want but just steps from the activities available in the inn. The room we stayed in was one of the mid priced rooms and it was everything we expected. I might add that the inn's web site is spot on with discriptions and photographs of all the rooms so there are no surprises.

I have to admit one downside of B&Bs for us is we love to eat breakfast out but The Addison rolled out something delicious and different each morning, we were there for three. You can sit alone or at a larger table with other guests which is always an interesting and enjoyable experience.

The inn keepers and the staff are helpful, friendly and interesting folks as well. No doubt we will return.
