“Beautiful lodge!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2014

This lodge looks just like you expect it would. It's picture perfect and quaint and the staff was very friendly. I didn't give it 5 stars because we could hear every footstep of the people in the room above us. Next time we'd definitely request to be on a top floor. I also think I'd want to be in the main lodge instead of the ocean house. We were told our suite was larger than in the main house, but of the 4 rooms there, only one could see the ocean because the dunes are very high. I think it would have felt more authentic to be in the main inn.

My husband and I arrived early (1:30 pm) for our one night getaway. We had reservations in the breezes room. We were told the room wasn't ready but we could enjoy the property and they'd let us know when we could get in the room- it was empty but had to be finished. We were understanding and told Timothy that we'd sit on the deck and wait. We sat on the deck outside the room and saw no one entering or exiting while we sweated unattended. In an hour my husband went to check on the status and was told it was ready and brad would give it a final look over and let us in. After another hour of sweating I went to the front desk to inquire again . Timothy told me oh it's ready and handed me the key and told me the lock was tricky. The toilet was very slow to flush nearly overflowing each time. For the top price we paid we felt under served and poorly treated. Next time we'll look elsewhere for a romantic getaway.

My husband and I stayed at Elizabeth Point Lodge for 4 nights in one of their oceanfront king rooms. We loved everything about this inn. The room was small but beautiful and functional. The rainforest shower in the bathroom was awesome. Turn down service every night with a small bag of goodies left on the bed. The buffet breakfast was exceptional and we typically don't care for buffets. One morning the chef offered to prepare me a special order when he saw that I only had a small bowl of fruit. Service was outstanding across the board. What ever you needed, someone was happy to bring it to you. Our favorite part of the inn was the wraparound deck. We sat out in the chairs and watched the waves. Water, lemonade and cookies were complimentary and available all day. Parking was available under the inn where your car would stay cool. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend this place for couples of all ages.

This was a couples dream getaway. The staff was more than helpful and the accommodations were wonderful. The rooms were very cozy and comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and the social hour was very nice. The attentiveness of the staff was top notch. The beautiful house and porch overlooking the ocean was so nice to sit on each afternoon and evening. I would recommend this to all couples who need a get away location. And it was close enough to downtown for us to go and enjoy each evening for dinner. Absolutely wonderful!

We spent a very relaxing weekend at the lodge. Our room overlooked the ocean with a wide deck. Comfy king-sized bed, top notch accommodations. Breakfast was delicious in a nice room overlooking the ocean. Room service sandwiches were exceptionally tasty. We appreciated the free parking and free beach umbrellas and chairs. Staff was friendly and helpful. Bathroom luxurious, but small .

Room Tip: pay extra for an ocean front room!!!

The staff were more pleasant and caring than we could have hoped for. The overall lodge amenities (juice and fruit and coffee and tea at all times) were top-notch. Wasn't their fault it was nearly 100 degrees each day...the umbrellas and beach chairs were set up and positioned to accentuate whatever breeze was available. They made terrific recommendations for dinner and made a reservation for us that met our needs. Breakfast and service were outstanding!

Our ocean-facing room was well appointed; parking was easy (and free, unlike another place I will review later today). The only - only - drawback was the small-ish size of our bathroom; however, being that it is all designed like a New England B&B (at which we have stayed numerous times), that is to be expected.

Since perfection is nearly impossible, we almost never give anything or any place 5 stars; wish you had a 4-1/2 star option. Thanks Elizabeth Pointe Lodge...we will be back!

My Husband & I stayed at Elizabeth Pointe Lodge April 2014 for our 20 year Anniversary. Our first time staying in a Bed & Breakfast and we absolutely loved it !! The back porch view of the ocean with the rocking chairs was beautiful. Breakfast was awesome. I have no complaints and would highly recommend it. Hope to visit again next year.
