While down from Alaska my dear wife wanted to experience a airboat ride. As we usally just wing our choices as to what tour or hotel we did the same here. we dropped into everglades private airboat tour We thought private meant " a boat to our selves" not so this means private land. so the company owns the all the land that the ariboats operate. We were greeted by a very nice young lady with a very welcoming smile who took our money for the tour and offered no further information as to how long when was the tour going to start or where to go while waiting for the boat ride. I had to ask all these questions myself??? once i figured it out we waited for 20 mins then were greeted by CAPT Corey our guide. we were very lucky to have got him as our guide. he is a 3rd generation everglade resident and was very knowledgable and offered all of his information on all of the local wild life and plant life. I learned a lot about the everglades from him. Capt Cory`s boat handeling skills were excellent and i also learned that everglades private airboat tour uses a 15 min interval checkin process with their boats so they will not crash into one another. this was a concern because another company had a crash that day. we sall Big Alligators small alagators, mom alligators with a whole bunch of baby alligators. and yes Capt Cory demonstrated the envelope of the airboat. we had a great time that ended with the holding of the baby alligator. we would reccomend this company and we would do this again.
