“Great food and service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 30, 2013

We have been pleasantly surprised at the special and the regular menu here. The service is attentive and friendly. I had pumpkin stuffed ravioli last Thanksgiving eve, it was a treat and a lovely was to relax before the big cooking day.

“Little Italian in the heart of Florida”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 21, 2013

Overall very good. Wait staff and service were outstanding. The atmosphere is cozy, but surprisingly empty for 6pm on Friday. We started with the Insalada Caprese. Very good, but would be better is served room temperature to enhance the tomato flavor. My wife had the Trout with olives and tomatoes. Presentation and sauce were very good, but the trout was a bit fishy as is often the case with freshwater trout. I had the Penne Forestale. A good hearty pasta with a nice smokey cream sauce. The sauce was rich, but not overly heavy. Just enough to enhance the pasta without smothering it. The bread was excellent. For dessert we shared a Limoncello Sorbet that chef Gianni imports from Italy. Very good! Chef Gianni came out twice to introduce himself and ask about our meals. Overall, the service and atmosphere made up for the minor faults.

“Another great meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 9, 2013

We have relatives in Lake County and Cafe Gianni has been on our radar since our first visit in their original location. Always a warm welcome and wonderful food. My Italian husband is particular when dining out for Italian food, and he is always happy here.

“Over Priced for Average Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 18, 2013

Yesterday my wife and I and another couple visited Cafe Gianni after attending a show at the Old Bay Theater. We went to Cafe Gianni because of the reviews and the pizza. We were looking for some good Italian pizza since the last time we has some was in Italy last year. Much to our disappointment, they don't serve pizza on Sundays. That was not mentioned on the restaurant's website. We ordered off the menu. There were a couple of dishes that sounded good. Service was good after the staff worked out who was actually waiting on us. Wine was high priced for very small servings. Our dinners arrived hot which is a good sign. None of us had a specific complaint but we were just not overwhelmed as we expected.

“A "real" taste of Italy”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

Excellent food and a great host. If you like fresh "real" Italian food Cafe Gianni is the place to go. Chef Liverotti has brought a taste of Italy to Eustis. Graci!
