No doubt, this location is paradise. Private beach, no frills accommodations. We have been here a half dozen times in the past few years.
Our first visit, we could not believe how low the rates were and would forgive just about any deficiency. The people were so friendly and warm, the atmosphere precluded any notion of belly aching.
These days, the price has creeped up to more like what they warrant and so too now have our expectations. We stayed the past two weekends in a row and were left with a bit of a bad taste both times. Some new faces were not quite as inviting as we'd come to enjoy. Manager hovering around pushing us to get out by checkout time or we'd be charged another day. Not a pleasant way to end the weekend(s).
We have always remarked that they could stand to mop those floors, the window shaker AC is less than luxurious, the vertical blinds on the windows are just tacky and don't offer any privacy.
Don't get me wrong. We will be back, hopefully many times. But, as they are now asking more like real money, we are going to look for something besides just location. And we want back the smiling, warm faces we'd previously enjoyed.
Can't bring myself to lower my rating, still will give it 4 of 5. We really enjoy staying at the Pearl, regardless. Another scowl or two and that may just tip me to the other side.

Room Tip: This was the first time we'd stayed in the summer. We learned that the sunset, being further nor...

Once you discover this "Pearl" by the ocean, you are allured to come back to the surf, touching the deck, to the sound and smell of the ocean, filling your room...Sunrise with the dolphins, sunset with the most majestic colors will take your breath away...I stayed in tropically decorated Unit #7 and was very pleased with the comfort, cleanliness and amenities. This place is completely serene and secluded... perfect romantic get away!...I recommend it to couples, families and singles - everyone will appreciate this touch with the nature! I will be delighted to enjoy it again.

Room Tip: Room #4 and 5 are almost touching the ocean!

The Pearl Beach Inn Resort is the perfect place for a couples getaway for nature lovers.
Situated amongst the mangrove trees and white, silky sand of the Gulf of Mexico this 13 unit boutique hotel offers majestic ocean views and a relaxing beach way of life.
Each room is well-equipped with amenities and all have air-conditioning, ceiling fan, kitchenette with breakfast nook and a safe for your laptop. Doors are equipped with state of the art card key locks as well.
Hotel has plenty of beach chairs, blankets and outdoor grills to make your stay comfortable.
In the summer months be sure to watch out for Sea Turtles coming ashore to lay eggs! Such a sight to behold! In the sandbar just off shore you can hunt for fossilized shark and/or megalodon teeth! Take home a awesome souvenir... FOR FREE!
Be sure to pack lots of 'green' bug spray as the sand fleas are out in force in the evening.

Thank you for such a fantastic review and we could have not have said it better ourselves! Sea turtle season is such a special event to experience. We hope you found some good sharks teeth! They are definitely abundant on this stretch of the beach and we are still amazed at the size of some that are found! We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope you come stay with us again!

Stayed in the Manor House unit for three nights over 4th of July. Clean and spacious. Comfortable beds. Steps to the beach. We got up early, walked the beach and swam before the rainy afternoons came.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Felt like the beach was our own. Staff and other guests were very friendly. We loved looking for sharks teeth. They were extremely plentiful. We found a bucket full! Every amenity was taken care of. Highly recommend. Would definitely go back.

Room Tip: First floor Manor House unit was perfect size for two adults and two big teenagers. A little bit of...

My husband, teenage son and I spent two nights here over the 4th of July. Beautiful location in residential area and right on the beach. Clean and comfortable. We liked the spacious closet in our unit but I thought the flat-screen TV was tiny. About the size of a computer monitor! One caveat, my teenager would rather have been in a livelier place. But for a couple or friends getaway or people with young children who are all about the beach, this hotel would be perfect. Its charms are low-key. If you are looking for a quiet, beautiful place to recharge, this would be it.

Room Tip: We stayed in #6 and liked it. There are two units facing directly on the beach (4 and 5, I think). N...

Mother and I spent two nights at the Pearl Inn. We had a wonderful time. Everyone was very pleasant. The beach is just beautiful. I would recommend this place to all for a quiet getaway.
We saw a manatee swimming close to shore. The nights were raining and thunder ,which I love. We were very well rested just after two days.

Room Tip: Rooms 4 and 5 have rooms over looking the gulf.
