This park is very well-planned and has many nice, peaceful areas in which to walk. There are nice views of Lemon Bay. One could spend hours here, but on the day we visited, it was cool and rain was about to start so we cut our visit short. We will go back on our next trip, for sure.

This large park has just about everything. Marked walking trails, a small butterfly park, lots of parking. Washrooms and a large picnic pavillion. Access to launch a kayak, or just wade into the shallow water for fishing. Benches for sitting and admiring the views with the great views of Lemon Bay, also a nice overlook platform. There is also a walking path along a boarded walkway. Check the local newspapers as there is always something going on.

A jewel, acres of preserved land on Lemon Bay that show Florida in its near original state. A wonderful, quiet place to commune with nature and get away from the crowds. One of my two favorite places in Englewood, the other is Indian Mound.

Have been here several times for great trail walking around Lemon
Bay birding area. Spotted gopher tortoises which are endangered.
Also, has a canoe launching spot for touring shoreline of intercoastal waterway.

This is a nice nature park with walking trails. They do have facilities, picnic tables and appear to have areas set aside for outdoor classrooms or lectures. The nature trail is very short, but easy to manage. There are a few areas built on boardwalks that allow you a better view of the bay, as well as more wildlife. It is not crowded, since it is off the beaten path a bit. If you are looking for a few hours of activities, I do not believe this park is it. But if you want a nice, quiet, short walk, this would be a nice place to visit. I would not recommend this for bike riding.
