We love this beach for sand, atmosphere, and shark teeth hunting. Family beach with mild surf. Not crowded, new facilities.

I'm new to this area and it was obvious this Summer when the town completely ignored the condition of Manasota Key Beach after Tropical Storm Debby. Months went by and the piles of rotten, stinky seaweed on the beach, storm formed pools of water that turned to murky sesspools for weeks and the children played in that water! I'm sure if it were tourist season, the town would have immediately cleaned-up the beach.

There are really four beaches on Manasota Key but Manasota Key Beach is one of the best. Usually not too crowded, nice beach area, plenty of parking and occasionally a dolphin or a manatee and lots of shark teeth
