I like being able to walk out the end of the point - you can walk along the bay or the gulf. Haven't been there at sunrise yet, but sunsets here are amazing.

great beach and nature park,
we enjoyed a leisurely walk along the beach and passed a number of turtle nests, these were all protected by the nature guides who regularly check to ensure that the eggs are always protected.
carry on down to the creek entrance and see the trees, bleached by the sun, lots of people stick shells onto the branches, and asyou can see by the photo, makes a great scene.

This is the hometown beach. Only about 30 parking spaces and that's it. The rangers are friendly and informative. I love this place.

We've seen the best sunsets from Stump Pass Beach!! Most of the time with viewing of dolphins. Sometimes Manatees and always a lot of birds. The tree stumps at the end look like big sculptures and are great for pictures!

This is a great place to visit the wild side of FL you will see many birds and other wild life. It is very nice to see the gulf then walk to other side and see the calm. The only thing I did not like was the jet ski's going way to fast and to close shore on this side. This should be a slow no wake zone. Please treat this area with respect and clean up when you leave. If you like wild life this is a good place to visit. Be aware you will need shoes to walk as you will find many sand burs on your walk, if you do go off the beach area.
