Reserve well in advance for a window seat at sunset! (they now also have an outside terrace) Food is not as good as the view, but there is plenty of it and nothing is inedible. Drinks push up the overall cost quite a lot, Standard American fare, enjoyed the experience so would recommend it but wouldn't rush back, there is nicer food in the area..... but not many with this spectacular view.

Fantastic view of the beach at sunset thru floor to ceiling glass windows and the food is very good (I am picky).
One nice feature is that at dinner they also have sandwiches and salads available along with a quite large entree list: steaks (3), snapper, grouper, several other fish, crabcakes, chicken, etc. Food prepared interestingly but not weirdly (you know some places combine blue cheese with mango-yuk).
The bar is in the middle of the dining room and is very popular at happy hour but never loud.
We've eaten here twice (lunch and dinner) and had excellent service both times even in-season.
We are happy to have another reliable restaurant to go to, Englewood doesn't have a lot to choose from.
P.S. Even though it s one flight up there is an elevator for those who can't do stairs.

Great lighting, 'new feeling' though established decades ago, very clean, best spot for a gulf view during the day, warm welcoming lighting for evening, diverse menu, frest taste, classy place without pretense, friendly staff. A local favorite, cocktail/dinner hour can be quite busy. I arrived late, about 45 min. before the kitchen closed, so I could have a leisurely, reflective experience. I received prompt friendly service although it was the end
of the night. If you are choosy about seating or wish for a romantic/quiet dinner, I suggest you go for a late dinner; This place fills up most evenings with loyal clientele as well as vacationers. My choice was oyster's rockefellar, loved the presentation, flavor, and generous portion, paired it with the popular house zinfindel. Definately will be back!

The hostess was amicable and because we had an early reservation we had a good seating arrangement . The waitress had a cavalier attitude and when questioned about drink prices and specials prices said , " I don 't know they are in the computer". not explainning the menu and specials to first time visitors was frustrating .Our appetizers : oysters rockefeller were good but were cold, calamari w/sauce was good but could of been served warmer. Cillean sea bass was ok, it too could of been served warmer , baked haddock lacked presentation and the portion was small , served cold and dried out along w/ the julienne carrots and green beans, sweet potato w/ cinnamon butter was good !!
The atmosphere was pleasant and enjoyable.
Once again the sunsets overlooking the gulf are beatiful.... The best!!
The quality of the food compared to the price to value ratio leaves a lot to be desired ! Service, there was nothing special about it.... The least!!
We live here in the area and eat out regularly , several times weekly.... to us ; food quality #1 , good service #2, price #3 .

We have been enjoying the "Grill" for quite a while and it is our favorite restaurant. The fantastic sunsets take a backseat to the wonderful staff, delightful meals and gracious owners Marjorie and Keys..It saddens me to read the few bad reviews of this restaurant as they generally are not a true perception of this beautful establishment that it truly is.
