Description: We are a local favorite thanks to our delicious food, "Old Florida" vibe, outstanding service and of course terrific views! We offer live music 5 days and week with two acts playing on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Karaoke is a great night to come to on Tuesdays! When you arrive you can sit yourself at any of our tables, from the outdoor patio, inside dining, or our very own TIKI ISLAND! Remember, if it's busy, it may take a bit longer for your made to order food, but where can you go and wait while sitting and drinking, listening to music or simply enjoying the views of the Manatee River!

If you are an avid jet skier and like to go to water front restaurant's, you know how hard it is to find decent dockage suited to Jet Ski's, dock is either way too high or none at all. Woody's accommodates both ski's and small boats. They have two outside dinning areas, we choose the one close to the skis on their point. Tiki hut bar and they service some nice sandwiches, salads and burgers, basic good bar fair. Price was very reasonable and the service very good.

We've heard a lot about Woody's River Roo but finally stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon. Our server,Allie, was delightful. Frog legs and the grilled salmon BLT were perfect. Chatted with some nice people. Great view of bridge, river, boats on the hook. Sure the place is rockin' on the weekends. Will definitely go back. Not far from St Pete, worth a short trip over Skyway.

First the cons: there's no real parking lot, so if the other drivers park stupidly (which they will as the night wears on) it becomes harder and harder to find a decent parking space. Also, the sign says "Seat Yourself". If this is your first time at the restaurant, as it was ours, you probably won't realize that the restaurant extends far beyond the bar and table area you can see from the parking lot. Because we didn't know anything else was available, and the table area we could see was full, we sat near the bar, which is also the smoking area. We would have enjoyed it much more if we hadn't had to sit in the smoking section. But there was no host or hostess to tell us there was additional seating. Because we were near the bar, we were also near the bandstand. It made it a little hard to talk to each other, when the band was playing and the singer was singing.
Now the pros: the service was excellent, very prompt, and very helpful. Her recommendations were spot on, and she was great at refilling our drinks, and coming back just when we needed her. Also, the food was amazing! Everything we ate was wonderful. We had the Kanga Roo-ben, the Blue Crab Cakes, and the Seafood Sampler. There were 3 of us, and one of us is a teenage boy--there were massive amounts of food, and we all had enough, and then some. One of our waitress's recommendations was that, based on the entrees we were thinking about, we wouldn't need an appetizer. Boy, was she right.
We will definitely go back the next time we're in the area.

We love this place and go there often. Locals drive up on the small boats since it has a dock to tie up to. Out in the parking lot there is a section right by the front entrance just for motorcycles too. Most evenings there is music from Karaoke to bands all in the evenings. The food is great and priced reasonably. Definitely not your chain restaurant or a tourist place.

Great service & atmosphere! While on vacation we stumbled across this place during a friends birthday celebration and we really enjoyed ourselves! Great brisket sandwich, right on the water & I can't wait to bring the kids!
