“Great Little Hideaway in Dunedin”
Reviewed October 18, 2012

I've been coming to the Covered Bridge for many years now and still believe that this is one of the best local spots in Pinellas County. It's a mom and pop restaurant that serves diner style food for very very low prices. They only offer breakfast and lunch, but the food is very good for the price that you pay. There have been a few times were we would have to wait a very long time for our food, but in the end we know that their service is great 98% of the time.

Also, keep in mind they do not accept credit cards, so make sure you have cash on you. They do have an ATM inside if needed as well.

“Good Food, Fun for Kids”
Reviewed September 29, 2012

I've been to this place several times recently and the food has been excellent. Particularly on Saturday and Sunday mornings (maybe weekdays as well), you can get a speciality pancake. We got a "Monster Truck" pancake it was incredibly detailed and much fun for the whole table. On another visit, the chef showed off pictures of other, equally detailed creations he can make.

The resturant itself is small, a dozen or fewer tables, and is "covered" with pictures and paintings of covered bridges from around the country.

The service is generally good to excellent, but when full it can be slow. The mens room is an eyesore and is worse for the nose. Detracts from otherwise good experience.

“Cheap Eats”
Reviewed September 7, 2012

Good food at very inexpensive prices, for the most part. Cash only - no credit cards. There is an ATM. Breakfast platter is excellent. I am not sure why the breakfast sandwich is only slightly cheaper for a lot less food. Lunch is good as well. Special steak sandwich (sort of a Philly Cheese) is my favorite. You can "make it a platter" - add fries and close slaw, for just $1.00 extra. Lots of retirees in there eating breakfast around noon. Food service can be a little slow when crowded.
