There is a reason the Black Pearl has been in business for almost two decades...excellence in dining! We were celebrating a special anniversary and one of the owners, Trevor Gibbs did everything possible to make our dining experience superb. The chef created a magnificent lobster thermidor especially for us. From the moment we walked into the restaurant we knew we had picked the perfect place for a celebration. The atmosphere of the small intimate dining room was second to none. The muted colors were soothing and although every table was filled the atmosphere was quiet and serene. The service was exemplary, with a professional wait-staff who knew just when to appear. We chose appetizers of fried green tomatoes with crab and a diver scallop dish that were a perfect beginning. The presentation was masterful and we only regretted not bring a camera. We chose not to have desert, but were presented with celebratory glasses of Champagne and an ice cream treat from the restaurant. Oh what a beautiful night!
