This is a place where you can take your guests and feel very confident in every aspect of the eating experience! When you enter the restaurant you are greeted by the owners, who are very genuine and really are glad you came to eat there...Fantastic! Next you are taken to your seat where you are greeted by a very pleasant and knowledgeable wait person. We happened to have a lady wait person, very pleasant, and no rush...Take your time.We decided on the chicken parm and chicken marsala. We both feel that is the two best dishes to gauge an establishment....Why.....Because it's an easy one....I'm here to tell ya....it was the best I've ever had! The spaghetti was done perfectly and the bread with olive oil and herbs was great as well.
The floor space is rather close, but adds to the festive atmosphere that's there.Everybody enjoying themselves as well as the faire. Prices on the menu are reasonable considering what you get....Quality...Quality......Quality.
Don't miss this one!!

This place has been open for 3 months. We had a delightful al fresco dinner on a beautiful night at Pensare. The food was delicious. I had veal osso bucco which was a specal and served over linguine. One of my friends had pappardelle clarita which was with shrimp, arugula, mushrooms, white wine and garlic. She said it was great. Another friend had linguini with clam sauce and another friend had veal contadina... veal sautéed with homemade tomato sauce with eggplant and mozzarella cheese and they enjoyed it too. For dessert we shared a fabuous lemoncello cake...yum! The chef (Ciro) is the former chef from Casanova and Bellini restaurants. The owner (Mike) introduced himself to us and was very pleasant. I would recomend this bistro to anyone in the Clearwater area looking for good Italian food. The website is http://www.pensareitalianbistro.com/our_menu.html

This place has such great potential. The food is excellent but the ambience and service, particularly the greeting system does not work. Where is the great Italian welcome and music? It would be great to see more sincerity from the owner walking around the tables and a better greeting system than heading inside to ask for a table but that aside they have a very gifted chef!

We had dinner at Pensare with expectations of good food and a great time, and they were mostly met. Our appetizer was the special -- a layered eggplant parmesan, delicious. The atmosphere was lively and fun on a Saturday night. We enjoyed a great bottle of wine, a Barbera, at about $40/bottle, which is very reasonable. We had finished our bottle of wine before completing our dinners, so we asked for another glass, to split, of a similar wine. Our server complied, and it was indeed a very good glass of wine. It was only when we saw the check that we found we had purchased a glass of wine at $25. Truthfully, the air went out of the balloon on the evening -- not that this was an extravagantly large amount of money, but we felt we had been dealt with in an unfair manner -- altho the dinner was good, we will not return.
