We have been in Dunedin now for four weeks and came across Bon Appetit during the first week, when we just had a beer and enjoyed the views. The following week we returned for lunch on the way to dropping people off at the airport. The food was delicious, especially the Lobster Chowder! The Grouper Sandwich was excellent, and the Lobster Tail succulent and tasty with its garlic butter dip and lemon slices. The view? Well, that was the reason we went back! The food? And added bonus.
So we returned today for lunch again. Again we sat outside in an uncharacteristic 82 Deg coolness. We had the Lobster Chowder and it was just as good, full of complete lovely red lobster claw meat. This time I went for the Red Snapper with a creamy lobster based sauce. Good food all round. My only criticism is that I thought it was quite expensive when compared to other places in the area - but then you get what you pay for!
One added "pat on the back" for the service we received on all three visits. Courteous, friendly, not over bearing and generally 5 star.
Well done to the guys at Bon Appetit!
