We have been in Dunedin now for four weeks and came across Bon Appetit during the first week, when we just had a beer and enjoyed the views. The following week we returned for lunch on the way to dropping people off at the airport. The food was delicious, especially the Lobster Chowder! The Grouper Sandwich was excellent, and the Lobster Tail succulent and tasty with its garlic butter dip and lemon slices. The view? Well, that was the reason we went back! The food? And added bonus.
So we returned today for lunch again. Again we sat outside in an uncharacteristic 82 Deg coolness. We had the Lobster Chowder and it was just as good, full of complete lovely red lobster claw meat. This time I went for the Red Snapper with a creamy lobster based sauce. Good food all round. My only criticism is that I thought it was quite expensive when compared to other places in the area - but then you get what you pay for!
One added "pat on the back" for the service we received on all three visits. Courteous, friendly, not over bearing and generally 5 star.
Well done to the guys at Bon Appetit!

My stepmother and I wanted a good lunch near home, so we went to Bon Appetit for the fish and chips. They were great! The batter was perfect - not too thick and fried perfectly crispy - leaving the fish inside moist and properly cooked. The fries that went with the fish were also well cooked and seasoned, and they made a perfect complement to the fish. My stepmother had met our waiter years before at a restaurant near where she was living at the time north of Baltimore, MD. As a result, he brought us a surprise dessert trio of chocolate mousse, a raspberry dessert, and a key lime custard. That was wonderful, as well. What nice service as well as our food!

We arrived in Dunedin for a couple of days stay at the Best Western Hotel that the restaurant is attached to so we decided to have our meal in the Bon Appetit
The food was excellent and the service first class, we asked our waiter what one of the vegetables was and he explained what it was how and with what it was cooked
The Hotel does a 3 course meal for 21 dollars which one of our party had and was excellent value for money.
Two of our party had Dover Sole which was cooked on the bone and the waiter removed the bone at the table , this was excellent.
A great place for a meal for an occasion like a birthday or retirement , or just for a good night out.
After our meal we went outside and had a few drinks at the outside bar, all in all a wonderful experience

This is one of the finest restaurants I've eaten at on the west coast of Florida. The server (stuart) was very experienceed and knowledgeable about the food and menu. I took his recommendation for a delicious red snapper served on a bed of lobster hash. You could tell the food was prepared by experienced chefs. The price of the menu items was between $24-35 a plate. Considering the quality of the food, service and the great view it was well worth it.
I will be returning to this restaurant soon!!
