The seafood is always fresh and they always have a variety of interesting side dishes to choose from. Service can sometimes be a little slow, but everyone is always very nice. Very cheap draft beer prices!

Everything. Good. Omg.

Try the mullet gizzards!!

Do not be put off by the cheesy and slightly dingy decor. It's worth it.

Beers are $1.50(!!!!). Beans and greens were tasty as all get out.

Fried oysters were simply perfect!!

My wife and I were staying at the Holiday In Express right down the street and we asked the front desk person where to get some fresh seafood. He pointed us to Sam's and we went there for lunch. We had the cod sandwich which was very, very good. Generous portion and comes with a pickle spear and side dish. I substituted the bun for some hush puppies and it was worth the trade. The cole slaw was so-so. Service was fine and we were able to sit in the pront pation which was open, nice place to sit on a mild day. The decor was dated as most "local" places are, but its a nice place and serves good food.

Fried flounder here is to die for. Large portions and delicious. The cheese grits are a little runny and not very cheesy and they put sugar in their collard greens. Other than that, everything I have had here is fantastic. Love the $1.25 drafts too. A fun place to go with great food.

I had the shrimp platter special (1/2 lb.) which was the special of the day. ($10.95) Shrimp was fresh and delicious and the platter came with 2 sides. Staff was efficient and friendly.
