If you want true lasting memories for the entire family (all ages) this is your place!

Be sure to reserve your appointment for the Dolphin Connection as soon as you make your reservations. They also have the only free dolphin viewing at a resort in the US!

Be sure to visit Calm Waters Spa there for a treatment too.

Room Tip: Be sure to reserve your appointment for the Dolphin Connection as soon as you make your reservations...

We just got home from 5 nights at Hawks Cay. From the time we checked in, until we checked out, this place is fantastic. The staff is so polite and helpful, our room was very clean and comfortable. The resort looks hidden away in palm trees and tropical plants..it was beautiful. We had a first floor that walked out to the adults only pool..perfect! It was so quiet and relaxing laying by that pool..I never wanted to leave. I love that you didn't have to pay extra money for the cabanas like you do at other resorts.

The bad: The walls did seem to be a little thin and we had to hear a small child have a tantrum a couple of times. We thought it would be nice if they had an adults only hall out near the adults only pool.

The food: We only ordered breakfast once and ate on our patio..when the food arrived it was still hot and delicious. Somebody knows how to cook eggs..they were not tough like most you order out. We had dinner one night at Tio's Cantina..the food was pretty good. However, I learned Tio's burned down the morning we left..I hate that because it was a really beautiful building. We stopped by Alma's for dinner but after seeing the menu we decided to go out..It was very expensive.

Overall..I had one of the best vacations of my life. I love it here and cannot wait to return.

Room Tip: If you are travelling as a couple, ask for a room that walks out to the adults only pool. It's v...

Dear JulesinGa,

We are so thrilled you enjoyed your vacation at Hawks Cay. Thank you for sharing stories of relaxation and island fun!

You've shared some great tips about room selection as a couple. The Premium King Lanai rooms are ideal...what can beat a room where you can get out of bed and be in a pool in under 30 seconds?!

I'm so glad you enjoyed your meal at Tio's Cantina. We are so sad to share that the restaurant caught fire early in the morning on April 6th. We are very thankful that no one was injured, and the fire was contained to the restaurant. Tio's will be closed indefinitely; however the rest of the Resort is open and running business a usual.

We hope to welcome you back to Hawks Cay very soon.

Best regards,
Jennifer Dinan

It's such a shame that the food service options and guest servises here are so mediocre; otherwise we would love to come back because it is such a beautiful place! We stayed in a hotel room with our five year old daughter and it was spacious, well-maintained and had a beautiful view. We especially loved the well-heated pools. We had to call housekeping a ridiculous number of times to get bedding for the sofa-bed for our daughter. We called and requested bedding and then received three calls from guest services asking whether we had received the bedding. We hadn't. We called again and eventually someone delivered sheets and a pillow. Then we realized there was no blanket. We called twice more to request a blanket before we left for dinner but when we returned from dinner still no blanket. I called one last time and very crabbily asked for them to bring a blanket immediately as our 5 year old who was tired and ready for bed. They finally did but I'm not sure why it had to be such a big deal! The two restaurants we tried (Tio's and Ocean) were pretty darn bad. Tio's caught fire this morning and delayed our departure (we almost missed our flight). Of course I am sorry that it caught fire but our experience there was terrible. Our waiter at Tio's (Luke) was great though. The food at Ocean was just ok and the service (Justin from Alabama) was the WORST. I wouldn't mind the remoteness here if there were reliably good places to eat but that doesn't seem to be the case here. If you're renting a condo (villa) that wouldn't be such a big deal but if you're just staying in a hotel room as we were you need to be aware that the nearest non-resort restaurant is at least 15 minutes away.

Room Tip: You may want to consider a villa instead of a hotel room, as the restaurant options are terrible. A...

Dear BeckyandMike,

Thank sharing feedback from your recent visit. I'm glad that you enjoyed the overall experience of our Resort, but apologize for the issues that you encountered.

There is no excuse for the service issues that you describe, either in the hotel or the restaurants. If you'd care to share additional details regarding your stay so that we may appropriately address them, please don't hesitate to contact me directly.

I'm so glad that you did not miss your flight, but I know that must have been stressful. Because of the construction occurring on Duck Key Bridge (the short bridge that connects our island to US-1), just one lane of the bridge is currently open. For that reason, Monroe County Fire Officials shut down the bridge to and from the island during the fire so that emergency equipment and vehicles could access Tio's Cantina quickly. We are sad to say that Tio's will remain closed indefinitely.

Thank you, again, for your feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to earn your loyalty in the future.

Best regards,
Jennifer Dinan

We spent several days here during spring break. Beautiful place, relaxing, comfortable. The villas are great, quiet, private, great balconies to sit on and people watch. Lots to do. Spa is awesome. Buffet dinner great, ate too much of course! Good fishing, parasailing, even exercise room is great! We will be back!

Room Tip: The large villa at the marina is close to everything, we had a 4 bedroom villa. Skip the Mexican res...

We stayed at the Marina. We paid $3.50 a foot and an additional $29 for use of resort activities. Activities should have been included with dock rate. The main pool was pretty crowded with lots of kids. Hawks Cay must be a good family destination because there were many many families with young children. The Marina staff and every staff we encountered were very friendly and seemed to go out of their way. Food on the other hand was poor. We ate at the Oceans resturant. I had Red Snapper for $28 that was mediocre at best. Also, an 18% gratuity was added to the bill. My wife and daughter had the buffet, my son had scallops. We did an appetizer and had 2 glasses of wine and the above entres for $168. Ouch!

We traveled to Hawks Cay over our spring break. We had never been to the Keys before, but have done all inclusives in Mexico, etc. We were a little gun shy as this is not an all inclusive resort. We had such a fabulous family vacation! The weather was perfect! We loved our 3 BR 3BA condo on the harbor. With 3 boys (8,7 and 4) there was never a concern of not enough to do. We went swimming at the several pools and salt water lagoon. We rented fishing poles. Walked the old 7 mi bridge, traveled to Bahia Honda beach and went Reef Fishing. We didn't eat much on site, we traveled outside of the resort and found tons of great seafood waiting for us. We would eat breakfast and lunch at our condo (full kitchen) or on site to save a little money. Everyone working at Hawks Cay were very kind and helpful! Especially our concierge, Benjamin. If there was a downside, the costs on site were $$$, but with our own condo we would keep costs down with our own drinks and meals during the day, then ventured out loving dinner at a local hot spot Keys Fisheries, The Island Fish Co, Sparky's Landing - just to name a few. Had great fishing with Seadog Charters (and much less costly) until our boys became seasick. They were by daily to pick up, run our dishwasher, take garbage and straighten up or offer towels. There was plenty of parking. We saw a manatee just off our dock! You know you are at a great resort, when we were getting to leave, we asked for a wake up call at 3:15 am. There was a terrible storm and the phone lines were down. The storm woke us up. Not to be deterred from our wake up call, the resort sent someone to our condo to make sure we were awake since they couldn't call. Now that's service! We'll definitely be back! Thanks for a wonderful spring break Hawks Cay!!! :)

Room Tip: We loved the condos since they each had a full kitchen. The hotel rooms do not. The harbor condos...

We purchased a two night stay, wish we could have stayed longer. All facilities were in great condition, room an exceptional value, staff very attentive. Resort is family friendly, but we enjoyed our quiet time by adults only pool. Tennis courts were in good shape, enjoyed the morning clinics. A great stay!
