Our family of five (kids are 9, 7 and 4) stayed in Unit 713 at Pelican Beach Resort unintentionally. Our original condo ended up having a leaking pipe so the management company placed us in 713 instead. It was decent for our 3 night stay, but the unit is in need up some updating. For example, the master bathroom shower door had a broken roller on arrival. We called and Panhandle Getaway (management company) had someone come two days later to fix it--but only partially. All of the soft furniture (i.e., living room couches and beds) were in dire need of replacement. The couches were slouchy and the fabric looked heavily used. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable. Most concerning was that the living room coffee table had glass that was obviously a replacement for the original and it has VERY sharp corners that were shin-level and just begging to gash open someone who walks by and rubs against it. In fact, one of the corners was already cracked and razor-sharp. Fortunately, I noticed this dangerous item right when we arrived and took the glass top off and put it behind the couch during our stay. The owners should invest in purchasing a proper beveled/rounded edge piece to avoid very serious injury. We would not choose this condo again.
The location was spot on....you couldn't ask to be any closer to the beach! The view was beautiful and breath taking! The unit it self was in need of some work. The appliances were old the frig ice maker worked great but it leaked water. There was a can opener but it didn't work. The air was cool at night but didn't not come close to cooling the unit during the day...but you can open both balcony doors and catch an awesome breeze. The furniture was old, worn and stained; the pull out sofa mattress was very thin like nothing was there; so sad:(. If your looking for location this is the place to be. We would go back for sure to this location but would book a different unit.
