My wife and I went on a Monday Night in July. We walked right in without a wait opposed to 'Fat Tuesday' night, which the wait was 90+ min.
We sat outside at first, but not being under a fan, it was uncomfortable. We moved inside, which felt great with the contrast.
We order the Bacon Jalapeno Oysters, Meyer Lemon Garlic Chive Butter Oysters, Fresh Fish Tacos, Nola Deep Fried Sushi Roll, and the Backdown Roll.
The oysters were good, but not AMAZING! The flavor balance masked the delicious fresh gulf oysters.The Bacon Jalapeno had too much cheese (yes, I said too much cheese).
The Fresh Fish Taco were THE BEST THING WE HAVE EVER PUT IN OUR MOUTH!!!!!!! The fish was delicate and complex with the Gulf Coast Slaw, Lime Vinaigrette, Chipotle Aioli, and Lime Sour Cream. We went back the next night to get more, but it was the 'Fat Tuesday' night and the wait was 90+ min.
The sushi rolls were some of the best we've had, and the key factor was the fresh fish. I never knew it made that big of a difference. I'm now officially spoiled. The finest sushi in Nashville will always be sub-par in comparison to the fresh gulf fish used in these rolls.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!! You must get the fish tacos!!!!
