Have been disappointed at the amount of fried fish that passes for sea food here in this beautiful area. We were told about Dewey Destin by a local and it was outstanding. They have daily selections that are local, fresh and that's what we went for. I've never had 'scamp' (not scampi) to my knowledge and I had this grilled, it was scrumptious! Others had the red snapper (blackened) and also said it was excellent--I'll go back to test that for sure.
Our server was a bit terse I guess because showed up with 3 children, but the food and the views of the harbor more than compensated for his attitude.
Best thing I can say is we will go back this trip! Try it and experience some great local fresh sea food that is not fried.
