We have dined at several Margaritaville locations and were excited to see that one had opened prior to our trip to Destin, but I was disappointed with our visit. We were promptly seated at a waterside table. The section we were seated in had glass "garage doors" as walls. It got quite windy as guests on two sides asked that the doors be opened. A pigeon flew in and nearly flew into me another patron before hitting the glass door on the far side! The pigeon got its bearings back and flew out the way it came in.
I had the fish and chips which came with French fries and cold slaw. The fish was ok, but the batter was a bit thick for me, the fries were not hot, and the slaw was dry. The tartar sauce with jalapeño was good. My husband had the seafood mac 'n cheese and he said it was good.
Service was just ok, and we were never offered refills of our water. I just didn't get the upbeat vibe that I've felt at other Margaritaville locations - there was no focal point (volcano, etc) as in other locations. Maybe this location is just too new and they haven't quite figured out what they are doing. There are two small stores at this location. There is a parking lot as well as a dimly lit parking garage that is in the adjacent complex.
