Another Trip Advisor suggestion from the experts! Thanks!
Unfortunately, when we arrived, they had sold out of most of the donuts and key lime pies. (About 6:30 pm) We got a cake donut and a piece of caramel cake. We had hoped to try the red velvet donuts, but the girl said that when it rains, as it had earlier in the afternoon, they're swamped. I can't think of a better thing to do on a rainy afternoon at the beach! Both the cake donut and the caramel cake were delicious.
The next day, determined to get a red velvet donut, we went for lunch. We were disappointed again! The red velvet donuts were sold out! We were seated immediately, and our server was a very sweet girl.
We ordered sandwiches -- ham, club, and cheeseburger. The cheeseburger had two thick burgers on it. It tasted like an old fashioned burger. Delicious! However, that was too much meat for me. I'm not criticizing, just stating a preference. The cheese burger would be a good item to share. Or, do as I did; take off one of the patties. Next time, I'll ask for only one.
We shared a piece of key lime pie. It was rich and creamy, not too tart or sweet. I'm not a big fan of key lime pie, but it was very good.
