Description: In 1984, Louisiana Lagniappe was opened and established inside Sandpiper Cove condominiums in what was at one time the Sandpiper Cove Yacht Club. A loyal following was quickly established due, in no small part, to the quality of the food and the attention to detail of the service. In 1998 The Southern Restaurant Group took ownership of the restaurant with a commitment to maintain the same level of food quality and service. Since then, Louisiana Lagniappe has consistently served only the freshest seafood and steaks. Now open year round, Louisiana Lagniappe is the spot for a memorable dining experience on all levels. In 1999, a second Louisiana Lagniappe was opened in the San Roc Cay Shopping and Marina Complex in Orange Beach, Alabama. Offering the same fine Louisiana seafood with a Creole flair, the attire is casual, yet an upscale waterfront dining experience is provided for the entire family.

“Great Seafood and Service”
Reviewed July 12, 2011

Great food even for those in our party that didn't eat seafood. It was a bit pricey but well worth the quality of food and service.

If I had to find a complaint salad had been prefixed a liitle too soon lettuce not as fresh as could be and a bit brown.

Overall great place for seafood lovers and food lovers alike.

“Average Food at Above Average Prices”
Reviewed July 9, 2011

We decided to try this restaurant on multiple reccommendations after being told that its the best seafood in Destin. We did not make reservations but went early and were promptly seated. However we sat at our table for almost 10 minutes before anyone came over to see if we needed anything. When Brockton saw that no one had waited on us he came over and apologized for the person that was supposed to be in our section not showing up. My wife ordered the Grouper Lagniappe and I had the Blackened Redfish.and my daughter had the chicken fingers. I will admit that the Crab and Corn Bisque was good but the Grouper Lagniappe was somewhat oily but had a decent flavor. The Blackened Redfish was blackened properly but the seafood topping that was on it had been sitting under a heat lamp and overcooked the seafood to the point that it was tougher than shoe leather. If you are going to pay $100.00 for a meal for a family of three you should expect and receive much better all around.

I would reccommend that you save your money and try to find a better restaurant in the Destin area.

“Exceptional food and dining experience!”

This was our first time visiting this restaurant. Both the food and service was excellent! The entire family enjoyed dining outside and looking over the harbour. We will definitely come back next time we visit Destin!
