Great experience. Portions were outstanding for the price. The view of the Destin Harbor is breathtaking. You can also take your alcoholic beverages out with you as you walk the mile-long Destin Harbor Boardwalk.

A meal at Fisherman's Wharf is the perfect way to end a day of fishing off of Destin. Bring the the ones that didn't get away (cleaned by the mate an hour ago) to the counter and the chefs will prepare it for you any way you'd like. Our group had some fried and some blackened. Great stuff! They serve it up with fries, coleslaw, and hushpupies - nothing fancy but it's tradional and really good. If you had no luck on the water or didn't go fishing they also serve entire meals. Best of all, they do this for a really reasonable price - the expensive part is chartering a boat for a day.

The food was amazingly delicious. The fried scallops we a favorite as was the blackened grouper. The service however was a disappointment. Given the rather pricey menu, the bad service was inexcusable. The order came out wrong the first time, but they corrected it. There was no salt/pepper on the table and after requesting it, the food as cold by the time they brought it. Drink refills were not frequent enough, often resulting in empty glasses for 5-10 minutes at a time. Even when they dropped off the credit card slip for signature, there was no pen and another 5-10 minutes before we could get the attention of the waitress again.

Not much to look at on the outside, but the food is really good. Oysters were fresh and reasonable. The decor is way dated though... but sometimes you just cannot tell. It is a local's place.
