Jim n Nick's isn't the best BBQ I've ever had, but it's definitely a decent meal. The sides and the cheese bread rolls are the best part of the experience. The service at this location was very friendly and prompt. When the waitress forgot to fill my drink, she promptly got me another & then took the charge off my bill. I'd recommend this restaurant to tourists looking for a good BBQ stop.

While on Easter break we were out looking for a bbq dinner.Everything in the area has such a wide variety of foods but heavy on the fish. This bbq restaurant really hit the spot. First off the place was super clean with a nice decor. We were seated promptly and studied the menu . They have combo dinner so you can try a variety of foods. We went with bbq white chicken and baby back ribs and pulled pork and beef brisket. All of these dishes were very good but the pulled pork and chicken were incredible. All their sides are made from scratch on site and they are delicious. The baked beans were so good.It is true that there were not many desserts but their portions are so large we couldn't even consider dessert. We would definitely go back.

Most places use premade sour mix, not here!! I didnt even like margaritas until I had one here! Of course they have amazing BBQ too! I have ordered most of the menu and never been disappointed, and the corn muffins are always a plus!

Upon walking into the dining area we were greeted with several tables that had dirty dishes sitting on them. In addition there were several spilled drinks on the floor that we had to manuever around. Our food took 30 minutes to make it to our table. The restaurant was maybe half full. I ordered a meatloaf platter and was told 5 minutes later that they ran out. Mind you it was 3 p.m. We overheard another table order ribs and that table was told they were out of those also. The waitress needed training, she was very nice, however she was cutting down the cook staff two different times when she returned to our table. She also made a disparaging comment about the management. As a patron you don't have a lot of confidence in an establishment when yoir waitress is giving negative comments about the restaurant. She was trying to make us feel as if she were on our side because she knew our wait was long, but she would be more ahead with her tip if she called the manager to apologize or reduce our bill by 20 percent. 4 entrees ordered, one had very large piece of overdone pulled pork, the other was cold. The other two were passable. Upon leaving the restaurant the gentleman that seated us asked about our meals and when I told him we were not satisfied, he offered excuses due to the fact it rained and they didnt expect the crowds. Patrons don't want excuses. Apologies with no excuses get return visits. If you are in a beach area, watch the weather. When it says 100% chance of rain the day before you better line up more staff and take advantage of people hitting the restaurants.

Jim and Nick's has the best bbq. We have had nothing but great experience at J & N BBQ here in Destin as well as in Trussville, AL. We have never got a bad meal. If you are ready for something different from seafood...please give them a try.
