“Excellent Time!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 4, 2014

We recently vacationed in Destin. One of the greatest highlights of our trip was this sailboat excursion. Caption Andy made it a fantastic experience for our family. We have 3 children, 13, 12 and 10 and we had not done anything like this before.

We saw dolphins up close which was so great. We enjoyed getting to know Andy who has traveled the world and is very experienced on the sea.

Captain Andy brought his dog who was adorable and great with kids. He also brought along an assistant (in training) and he was great, too!

There were appetizers and drinks aboard which was nice.
Captain Andy took lots of pictures for us and we now have a great memory.
The next time we are in Destin, we hope he is available to take us out again on his boat.

It was very reasonably priced (not much more than paying for one of those big dolphin excursion boats when you consider the cost per person for those.).

I would strongly recommend this private day tour for your next trip. You will not be disappointed!

“Long time visitors, first time sailors”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 3, 2013

We are long time visitors to the 30A/Seagrove area. We enjoy that so much that we rarely make it to Destin. A short sailing trip with Captain Andy Stempki over the Thanksgiving break was just what we needed to lure us over to the harbor, and we're glad we did. There was practically no wind but the sails were still up and we motored out to the gulf and back in to the bay a little. The trip was short but pleasant, saw multiple pods of dolphins on the trip, and just enjoyed the warm sun on our faces and reflecting off the water. You definitely get a different experience sailing past Harbor Walk than walking through it. Very relaxing. This trip was a gift, but I would buy it myself and recommend it to anyone. Even with no wind, sailing fits our family's preferences vs. all the theme park attractions.

“Best trip”

We are locals and wanted to do something fun and we had a great day. I loved that trip was private,it gave us a chance to relax and kick back and enjoy ourselves even more. The boat was so smooth and Captain Andy was awesome. The rates are reasonable and worth every penny. Well will be going more often now that we have found this!!

“A fun relaxing afternoon...”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 5, 2013

We had never sailed before so were a little apprehensive, but Captain Stempki (Andy) was so relaxed, you really couldnt be nervous. The boat was in good shape and it was a comfortable, entertaining trip. Andy is a smart, personable guy and easy to talk with. Our daughter Kristin and her friend Alexandria were along with us and they had a great time. Andy has an unofficial sailing mascot in his dog Dixie, and she was as much fun as the sail -- the kids loved her and we did too. The 3 hour trip went by pretty fast and it took a while to get to the gulf, but that wasnt Andy's fault. The harbor traffic resembles Hwy 98 and you have to take it easy getting out. We only saw one dolphin, but the sail wasnt really about that...it was nice just floating along and enjoying great weather, beautiful water and fine company. It's impossible to overstate how beautiful the green waters are in the pass heading out....seeing it up close is worth the trip. We'll take another sail on the Emerald Lady as soon as we can get back.

Take a break from the beach for the day and go sailing. It's the best thing you may do while on vacation.
