“Nasty workers”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2012

My husband & I went in for an ice cream, we made our purchase sat down to eat it and realized one of the workers was double dipping her spoon in every singe gelato or sorbet there!!! We don't know where her mouth has been..you can get diseases from that!!!!! we complained to manager and said we didn't want our ice cream and we want our money back and they said No...we don't give refunds..so we got NO ice cream and wasted our money =/

“Most Authentic Gelato in the U.S. - Talk About A Taste of Italy!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 13, 2012

I heard about the San Gelato Cafe from a local who raved about it. And wow, no wonder she couldn't say enough. It's dense, intense in flavor, and oh so creamy. The owners are from Italy - they moved here years ago - and imported all the equipment from Italy so it would be authentic. If you close your eyes as you taste it, it's like being in Venice. Creamy and wonderful! They have a display case filled with a variety of flavors from simple vanilla and chocolate to cookies and cream, dolce de leche, rum raisin, hazelnut, mocha, mint chocolate...is your mouth watering yet? Mine is. I had the spicy chocolate gelato and I'd fly there from Miami for another cup of this chilled Italian goodness. The location that we visited is at the Village of Baytowne Wharf at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. Great location, right across from the Acme Oyster Company restaurant. San Gelato also served panninis, soups, salads and plates of appetizers (they looked amazing). Indoor and outdoor seating is available. I will make it a point to find a San Gelato Cafe whenever I'm in the area - worth the drive. So good. So authentic.
