I'm glad that I didn't read these reviews before we went on this trip. The experience that we had was absolutely amazing. Honestly, I would have expected to pay much more for a trip of this caliber. The boat is older, I think that Cap't Jim said it was built in the 70's but it was in great shape. Cap't Jim is clearly experienced (served in the Coast Guard) and very friendly. He actually let our friend's young son "drive" the boat.
We wen't on the full day tour and it took us through the sunset (I highly recommend the sunset part). We also got some up close time with a pod of dolphins. What an unexpected surprise. Captain Jim is a bit of a history buff and shared stories of some of the pirates that used to sail in the local waters.
Probably the best part is that this is a catamaran which means that it's big. All six of us could fit under the covered cockpit in the back or 4 or 5 people can easily lay out in the sun. Jim is very relaxed, you have full reign on their boat as long as you don't do anything inherintly unsafe. We will definitely do this again next Spring Break.
