Small intimate dining experience away from the tourist main line. Located in the historic Henderson Park Inn, the view at sunset is unmatched. Charming with service to match. Varied menu with Chef's specials. A nice wine selection. Staff was attentive and closed the experience with a rose for the ladies. Dinner reservations a must.

“Anniversary Dinner with Wife”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 6, 2013

Living in Pensacola, Florida, I had heard many great things about this restaurant. The wife and I drove the 60 miles to Destin tonight, and I must say it definitely was worth it! We had the Eggplant Medallions with Crab Meat as an appetizer. Superb!!! The wife had the Seafood Pasta Rockefeller, and I had the "fish of the day", which was yellowfin tuna, as the main entree. The bread pudding desert was absolutely superb!! I feel comfortable stating it was the best prepared and most delicious meal I have eaten in my 62 years on Mother Earth. What made the night especially enjoyable was the waiter, Richard. He is especially knowledgeable concerning fine wines, and made suggestions, at my request , that complemented the meal, and the evening. The scenery surrounding the restaurant is breathtaking. What is not to like, while eating a fine meal, with the sugar white sands of the Gulf of Mexico in the background. It was a 3 1/2 hour round trip to enjoy the Beach Walk, and it was worth every mile. I highly recommend you put it on your list of places to enjoy while in Northwest Florida.

“Old Florida with Fine Dining”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

Beautiful setting, awesome sunset, good food and attentive service. Our party dined on roasted venison, shrimp and grits, and steak - yummy. A creative appetizer was prepared for us as a surprise. As a local, it was pleasant to dine where the atmosphere felt like old Florida versus the commercial establishments or the pretentious sheik restaurants in the area. Where have I been? This is a geat place for a special date or occasion. Service and staff were personable and knowledgeable.

“Dinner”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2013

always knew about it and finally the opportunity came to experience it. Dined with colleagues at this quaint, intimate venue at the start of the beautiful Henderson State park. The appetizer Baked Brie en croute, came out beautifully displayed on a wooden bloc with purple grapes and a side of truffled vinaigrette. all you could see was a lovely, flaky blanket that once cut into drizzled with wonderful warm brie. the warm homemade bread that accompanied it was devine! next on the menu was the lobster with charred risotto. lobster came out of it's shell easily and I enjoyed it plain as it was perfectly cooked and tasty from its own shell.
the rissotto was indeed unique in taste, and complimented the lobster. definately worth the experience.
