Service poor. Food poor. We were at the restaurant early on a Sunday night and so you would think they would give a table of 8 an experienced waitress – not so – we got someone new. Now I’m not opposed to someone learning the trade but either
have someone experienced shadowing the neophyte or at least give her adequate training – neither was the case here. She was pleasant and did seem to
be trying but her lack of expertise weighed heavily on our dining experience. When I
asked her for a new napkin, she replied: “What happened, did you drop that one on
the floor?” I replied: “No, the one I received is all torn up and I’d like one that’s not
falling apart.” It took two more requests and about 15 minutes for the napkin she took from me to be replaced (it should have been instantaneous with no questioning). While we were waiting for food (and starved), no bread
and butter were brought to the table although we waited politely. Only after 20 minutes or so and a special request from us were we served bread and butter. After
we were finished, our dishes collected and we had declined dessert or coffee, it took
an inordinate amount of additional time before we received our check. The Cuban
“strip steak” (Churrasco - $24) was a cheap piece of meat pounded down to a thin layer, was not tasty or tender and I would have returned it if I wasn’t with company. My wife’s dish (Parrillada - $23) had two different pieces of sausage – both horrible, with lots of fat and chewy gristle.. I've read the other reviews but my experience was as described.-- an all around unsatisfying experience.
