I rarely give a restaurant 4 stars. 5 is reserved for the very best in the US to which I've only been to 5. This food is as close to you can get to Italian food in Italy as you can get in most of south Florida. It is owned by the same people who own the famous Anthony's of Mulberry street in downtown Manhattan.
This place is absolutely PACKED on season and off. The bar scene is very trendy. The food is a bit expensive so this is a place to watch the folks who think they are very special interact.
When the weather is nice you can sit outside and watch the people go by on famous Atlantic Avenue. Inside and out, the table are a bit tightly spaced. If you can get a booth, go for it.
The pasta is special, the sauce is to die for, the meat dishes are all extremely good and the service is friendly and not too pushy.
This is the italian restaurant we will normally pick IF YOU CAN GET A RESERVATION. The maitre D, will normally look down his nose at you with a reservation. Without one, he will be a truly rude, ugly human.
If you are a young, beautiful, skimpily-dressed couple of women, you will probably get in whenever.
This food is just plain wonderful. Don't miss this place. Book in advance for a Friday or Saturday. They are NOT on Open Table.
