It is beautiful from every angle, very restful. There is a small, interesting museum about the Japanese who lived in the area. It has a good store and restaurant.

The Gardens at Morikami offer a morning or afternoon of pure relaxation. They are as good as any recreation of traditional Japanese Gardens that you will find in the U.S. The museum component is also quite interesting and their cafe offers excellent Japanese cuisine.

Our most recent visit to the Morikami Museum was just as impressive and beautiful as all our previous visits! Upon entering the muesum one already knows this visit is a special experience. A brief movie is important to see because it offers the appreciation of the history of the Japanese family who settled in Delray Beach. The Tea Ceremony is an essential part of the visit. A truly lovely ritual. One must walk through and around the gardens which included amazing Bonsai plants, fountains, bridges, and calm sculpted meditation areas. There is much more to see of the sheer beauty of the Morikami Gardens. The out door Cornell Cafe offers a most beautiful view of these gardens. The tempura shrimp roll, birthday roll and the Summer sashimi salad alone are well worth the visit. The brief tour of Japanese history and culture are interesting. Guaranteed you will learn something new !. The gift shop offers a varied and very nice selection of Japanese articles. natasha

Recently visited during vacation in the Boca Raton area. Nice day in the gardens. Loved the museum section inside. Several areas of the gardens were closed for maintenance which definitely detracted from the visit. Alot of walking but a good amount of seats, water fountains, bathroom facilities, etc. Would come again in cooler weather.
