This is the greatest little dinner ever. The food is fantastic, great variety, reasonable prices, and wonderful service. It's like stepping into the past and enjoying what down-home food and service was all about. Diane will make you feel welcome and like you're a regular.

I'll admit to liking Grainger's. Its a small (10 tables) restaurant with neighborhood service, a good lunch and dinner selection (informal, informal, informal). Interesting quirk in that the ledge by the booths contains a lot of eclectic books on travel, trivia, and other items that provide some interesting reading. Burgers are good, chili is great, wings are ok, conch chowder is excellent. Since it is small, there may be a wait, particularly at dinner. But for those of us who get tired of the Delray cliché restaurants this place is a refreshing spot to just have a meal without any pomp and circumstance (and without the big bill).

This is a small local diner that in Delray that is so worth the visit you should not miss it. Make sure you callahead on a Wednesday or Saturday which is the only days they make the most succulent fall off the bone BBQ ribs.
There home made corn bread combined with there to die for bake beans will keep you wanting more.

Skip the overrated and overpriced Atlantic Ave places and head straight to Grainger's.

Downtown Delray has really become one of Palm Beach County's "Foodie" places. TripAdvisor says there are over 300 reviewed places to eat in Delray. I've lived in PB County all my life and thought I've eaten at all the little hidden gems in this area until yesterday. I've seemed to have overlooked this little gem. A friend of mine told me about Granger's just last week. Wow, I'm glad he did! With all the eating places in Delray, if you're going to have a comfort food place there, it better stand out. While the exterior might not catch your eye, their menu will. How about a BLT sandwich with fried green tomatoes? You a lobster fan? Try the Friday night special Fried Lobster! You won't want it any other way next time your hungry for that little crustation. While we didn't have room after we ate, their deserts sounded great too. We're going to be back down there for The Delray Affair next month and can't wait to go back. You can find a lot of more expensive places in restaurant rich town, but if you are looking for "kicked-up" comfort food don't overlook this little place. Your taste buds will thank you!

I have been going to this place for years. Their ruebens are awesome. Burgers are very good as well. Small place with a counter and I would not recommend going right at lunch because you may wait a little but it is well worth it. Prices are average and portions are large so go hungry.
