“... happy hour's way to go..”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

..new trendy dining spot.. regular menu items are pricey.. so the thing to do here is go for happy hour (till 7:00).. with wines by the glass and apps at half price.. you'll save approx $50-60 on a $150 tab.. food is tasty (excellent crab-cake.. as an entree do a couple, with a side).. fish-tacos also very good..
if you're ordering any of the regular menu fish dishes, mention to the kitchen try keep it moist and under-cook it, as there's a tendency to dry out thin fish steaks..
worth another try sometime.. hope they have some staying power (lots of competition in this town)..

“Don't miss this menu!”
Reviewed October 18, 2013

I love Racks..they have a drink called The Hugo, perfect for a warm summer night..Prosecco, club soda, lime, elderberry essence and mint leaves. This is the best crabcake you'll ever have and the seafood is cooked perfectly. You can eat inside (nice bar) or out but the music is loud. This place ranks in my top 3 restaurants in Delray.

“Pleasantly Surprised”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

Stopped in on a Friday afternoon around 5PM and it was "Happy Hour". I ordered a dozen oysters on the half shell (they were huge) and their calamari with a draft wheat beer. I sat at the bar outside and the service was excellent and the food was very tasty and filling. The place seemed to fill up quickly once I sat down to order. I am glad I stopped here and had the oysters and calamari. I will return again!

“Overpriced and Noisy”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

The menu at Racks is somewhat limited, but the four of us choose different items for dinner. The seafood wasn't anything special, and it should have been, based on the prices. The mussels were overshadowed by the broth, octopus was deep friend, tough and flavorless. My daughter did enjoy her oysters and her friend enjoyed his steak. Our tuna was good. We sat outside and it was very noisy. A waitress from a different resturant had recommended Racks - so you might want to give it a try.

“It's the noise and not the food”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

You walk away shaking your head after dining at Racks. You cant remember the food because you realize you've been shouting all night to have a conversation with friends.
The branzino fish for $31 (you have to ask prices for specials) was average and came with under-cooked brussel sprouts. My husband's beet salad consisted mainly of shredded lettuce and few golden beets. They were $9.00. For $31 the branzino should have been presented whole and then filleted to justify prices. When we requested bread, our table was told there was none; but we could place an order for Parker House rolls. Huh!!!!
After a month of dining in Paris; we were appalled by the average service and average food.
I must say people at large bar that dominates the space were having a good time.
Maybe this is a better bar than a "casual" fish house.
